Sport on the squadron

Approximately once a month the entire squadron participates in various sports on the nearby Stray. These include volleyball, football, rounders among others and sports teams are selected from these sessions. When the teams have a major sporting event to train for they are often taken to use the considerable sports facilities at RAF Linton-on-Ouse - a favourite with all the cadets.

Representation at higher levels

The squadron takes place in a several sporting competitions each year. These include inter-squadron, inter-wing, inter-region and corps level. There is a range of sports to take part in and have fun in. There's something for everyone. Over the recent months, cadets from Harrogate have particpiated in hockey, rugby and even skiing. After winning at inter-squadron you'll get put through to the next round and on the way you will gain lots of certificates, medals nd even trophies.
